I purchased a Giant bike through the official Giant website and selected The Bike Shop Kailua for in-store pickup. Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. It has been almost a month since I placed my order, and I still have not received my bike or any clear update on its status. I contacted the store multiple times to ask when the bike would be ready. Each time, I was asked for my phone number and told that the manager would call me back, but I never received a single call or any follow-up. I spent thousands of dollars on this purchase, but after nearly a month, I have received neither my bike nor any meaningful communication about its status.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was incredibly disappointing. I got three flat tires in 24 hours while renting a bike from The Bike Shop in Kailua. When I returned after the first flat, I was told that if I got another flat, it would be my fault and I would have to walk the bike back to the shop. There was no offer of a refund or meaningful solution despite the repeated issues. What was most surprising was that an employee told me they repair multiple flat tires every single day because the rental bikes are equipped with inexpensive tires. If that’s a known and frequent problem, it shouldn’t become the customer’s responsibility when it happens. I’ve ridden bikes in cities and countries all over the world, including Mexico City, without experiencing anything like this. Yet somehow I had three flats in one day in Kailua. Equipment failures happen, but how a business responds is what matters. Unfortunately, I left feeling like the responsibility for a known issue was placed entirely on the customer rather than the rental equipment. I hope the shop considers investing in better tires and improving how they handle situations like this in the future.

Rented EMTB’s and the staff was helpful. The owner even stepped in to make sure we were taken care of. We had a great time and the staff didn’t snob us or treat us like newbs as some other bike shops have done in the past. I will give this bike shop my business in the future. 🤙

Awesome bike shop! I came in with a flat tire and needed my brakes serviced. The staff took great care of me. Everyone was super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. You can tell they actually care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I will give my business to these guys any day of the week ! The crew is so professional. I knew nothing about my Shwinn 6 speed E-bike and they step by step walked me through everything I needed to know about repairing it without pressuring me to purchase anything expensive. Matter of fact they almost always gave me an alternate option for my concerns. There are tons of different accessories for sale and I was able to find parts for a bit cheaper than online.
